Much things. Very busy. Is this how I sound cool?

So here’s my first post from all the way across in the US of A. God, I would never have imagined myself here in a million years but here I am.
Ok so I did imagine myself here but I certainly expect it all to go so….fast.

But typically, I’m listening to a mildly depressing Troye Sivan number as I type this up in order to keep my excitement from retching over onto the interwebs. Other people (read: normally adjusted people) would obviously put on a happy, pumped up song to reflect their mood but not me. I’m all about that….mood control mechanism. I use music to control my emotions. Go figure.

In relation to what you’re thinking about my previous statement about music.

So I landed in America last….Saturday which was the 12th but maddeningly, I left Sri Lanka on the 11th so I spent somewhere around 24 hours in transit (ie: exhausting, boring, absurdly long travel on cramped airplanes). I don’t have a problem with airplanes, I actually love travelling in them (yes, even economy class) but there is a limit to how much I can bear some stranger breathing down my neck because they’ve fallen asleep and their head is lolling on to my side and have you seen how narrow and small those airplane seats are oh my god it was horrible luckily ‘they’ did NOT drool.

Now that that rant is done, let’s move on. My travel route was Colombo (Sri Lanka) to Abu Dhabi (UAE) to London (Engla– come on you HAVE to know that) and then Philadelphia (again, you know where that is right? USA) It was a god awful flight path.

So I moved into Drexel Housing on the 12th itself and it was truly exhausting. Like break your bones in two because you lifted two tonnes of something heavy repeatedly tired. I’m not even joking.

So if, by now, you haven’t realised, this is a full on RANT so if you’re not into that, well sorry but it’s not going to get better from here on out anyway so…

Also, if you’re wondering why I wasn’t able to post anything for so long if I landed here on the 12th, well my laptop as a huge 5A adapter and those monstrosities don’t fit into USA plugs so I had to go searching for like four days (I know FOUR DAYS) to find an adapter and finally, after a lifetime of searching, I found one at the UPenn Computer Store (God bless) which finally allowed me to come here and do this. SO LETS DO THIS.

ME RIGHT NOW. Minus the good looks and the millions and millions and millions of dollars in my bank account. (Yeah, I have a bank account here!)

Okay, so I realise that I have photos I took of Drexel on my iPhone but I can’t be bothered to install the Windows-Apple transfer software and actually pick up the lightning cable and use it to transfer the pics (WHY DOES APPLE NOT SUPPORT BLUETOOTH TRANSFER?). So maybe I’ll just upload them at some later day.

In the meantime, I’m gonna go look at my academic schedule and sink down into a depressive corner into tears cause I have to take FRENCH and it is NOT AN EASY LANGUAGE TO LEARN. *cringe*

Also, I have only one vacation for my entire college career because like the dumbfuck I am, I signed up for the 5 year 3 Co-op cycle where each summer and spring after my freshman summer, I’m GOING TO HAVE TO WORK.

Not Werk. Work.

Me, who’s never had a single day of actual work in my life.

I LOVE MY LIFE. I LOVE MY LIFE. I LOVE MY LIFE.
